Miracles and Life Changing Moments #5

This trip we had the opportunity to meet some amazing parents.  Parents that have made the choice to keep their special needs child despite what society encouraged them to do.  Some of these parents lined these stairs at the hospital so they could meet with the members of the team.

I was immediately taken back by the parents that came from all over carrying their child and waiting for hours on the cold stairs just for a piece of information that might help their child. I am so blessed as a parent of child with special needs to have so many amazing resources available to me and I will definitely do a better job at counting my blessing instead of complaining about the experiences that come with having a child with special needs.

Here are a few of those kiddos that came with their parents. We saw 3 times the number of kids that we were scheduled to see and the parents came back 2 days later to pick up individualized programs, equipment and supplies.
