Unfortanately, we still do not have our luggage, but that didn't stop us! We started the day collaborating with orphanage therapists and medical staff regarding children who come to the orphanage for therapy. They were very receptive and were already doing so many great things! After lunch we requested to see other rooms in the orphanage and were quickly obliged. We were able to visit with a little girl we have seen the past two trips- this time for feeding concerns. It was a tough conversation and prayers would be appreciated for further communication on this matter! We then visited "laying down rooms" as well as the room previously nick-named "the rockin' room" due to all the children seeking movement in this room. We were able to spend quality time with the kiddos, answer questions, and start formulating a plan for tomorrow (with or with out luggage). Overall, it was a good rapport building day!
We have arrived in Ukraine!!! Travel was smooth all the way to Kiev without delays. Unfortunately, our luggage was delayed in Zurich to Kiev. It is said to arrive in Kharkiv sometime tomorrow. We were blessed that our wheelchair made it on the plane and it is in perfect shape. Please keep in your prayers that our luggage arrives tomorrow and that we are able to serve the children at Green Forest the best we can with what we have. So nice to be in the company of Olga, Alex, and Leo. Their smiles sure were a blessing after the luggage ordeal! We will post as available these next few days

We spent the entire day at Anini today and really enjoyed getting to know a lot of the kids. There’s so much we could say about each kiddo, but we wanted to share a few of the highlights from the day.
Paige’s biggest moment was when the director of Anini agreed to start incorporating safer feeding methods using proper positioning and thicker liquids for the more involved kids with CP. This is a HUGE breakthrough!! Paige also shared a lot of information with Allen, including incorporating PECS with some of the non-verbal kids. It’s so encouraging to know that information was able to be passed on to someone who will be there consistently.
This morning we visited an orphanage we’ve never been to before. We were told there were lots of kiddos that need speech therapy, but as soon as we walked into the children’s school room our eyes were drawn to one particular boy. Little Alejandro is the son of one of the orphanage workers, and Paige and Julie were able to work quite a bit with him. It was so nice having his mom right there to give her important information for Alejandro.
